The CNC Commitment

To provide a manufacturing service capable of producing the highest quality components quickly and competitively, it is necessary to combine fully trained personnel with the latest sophisticated machinery offering a technical ability that would have seemed inconceivable back in 1978 when we began.

At Picross we have a range of CNC Turning Centres and Machining Centres - our latest acquisition being a MORI-SEIKI NH-4000 twin pallet machine that increases our horizontal milling capacity and compliments our MORI-SEIKI SH-500 7 PALLET Flexible Manufacturing System. 

CNC Turning

The Turning Centres are the latest models covering a full range of capacities. Chuck capacity 3 jaw and 2 jaw up to 250mm maximum diameter. Automatic multiple barfeed units enable barfeed to 65mm diameter. Driven Tooling Turrets able to perform milling/turning cycles complete these machines to offer a fully variable tooling set up.

CNC Milling

The Machining Centres are equipped with 20-station tooling carousels and spindle speeds of 150-6000 rpm offering a vast range of capabilities for milling, drilling and tapping tasks.

Programmable Automatic Indexing Heads compliment these machines for drilling and tapping tasks. The advantage of using CNC centres are that they ensure identical specifications, from the first off to the completion of the batch. Running times are reduced from the conventional machines, advancing delivery times.
